Scenn’s Thai cooking, language & dance classes; three fun things to do while in Sangkhla for small groups or 1:1, in a cool, spacious classroom.

Scenn teaches memorable Thai cuisine. Designing, composing & manipulating for taste (& visual) effect, as well as cook; as an artist might to engage you.

Scenns Cook-Thai class is four or five dishes each day. A choice of menus. A cool start at 7am for market & garden sourcing. Roll up your sleeves at 10am; serve, dine & chat around 12-2pm. B1,200 or B1,600 per person per day.

Scenns Thai language course covers the basics and beyond; from Thai alphabet, tones, vocabulary & conversation to the art & culture in Thai language, generational, historic & foreign influences. Also etiquette, the colloquial, idioms & humour, & the untranslatable.

Scenns Thai dance classes develop deportment & the cool, gentle, polite “Thai personality”.

Whether you like to learn learn Thai classical Rum mae bot, pre-dance gestures, the making & significance of costumes or folk dances like the Sticky rice, candle, horse or gold panning dances that you can perform for 5-10 minutes, you can do so from Scenn.

Scenn has performed at the Thai National Theater in Bangkok and in Singapore, Australia & England.

Scenn was cooking since age six and is a Thai classic’s & culture graduate of the Thai Dramatic Art College & Rajamangala University, in Bangkok’s Wangna Palace; with 20 years experience as a chef, stage artist & teacher Scenn is here to guide you, step by step.

Study at Sam Prasob, (where three rivers join), near three pagodas pass. Three subjects, three rivers, three pagodas & within the spectacular Western Forest Complex (WFC), over 7,000 sq. miles, with 11 national parks and 6 wildlife sanctuaries, two are UNESCO World Heritage sites; an incredibly rich & biodiverse wild habitat; over 150 mammal & nearly 500 bird species; Asian elephants, black bears, tigers, leopards, elephants, deer, primates & peacock.

You may not meet all these but you will be at the heart of nature.

Classes are held in a spacious, cool country house & garden, touching the lake much of the year & full of exotic edibles: passion, neem, cashew, cinnamon, sesame & many more.
